How it works

One marketplace, two sides

JobTackl connects people who need local help with people who provide it. Customers describe the job and compare providers; providers set out what they offer and get discovered by nearby customers.

For customers

From first search to finished job, in four straightforward steps.

  1. Tell us what you need

Describe the job, pick a category and set your location and timing.

  2. Compare local providers

See who covers your area, what they offer and how they price the work.

  3. Book with confidence

Agree the details in one place and confirm a time that suits you both.

  4. Share your experience

Leave feedback afterwards so other customers know what to expect.

For providers

Set up once, then let customers searching your area find the work you already do.

  1. Create your profile

Add your skills, service area, availability and the work you take on.

  2. List your services

Set out what you offer and how you price it, so enquiries arrive ready.

  3. Be found nearby

Customers searching your area and category can discover your profile.

  4. Manage jobs in one place

Handle enquiries, confirm work and build a record of completed jobs.

Money and payments

JobTackl is a marketplace. The contract for the work itself is between the customer and the provider — JobTackl is not the party carrying out the service.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. JobTackl does not store card numbers.

What it costs

  • Providers join and list free at launch, and pay 0% commission.
  • Customers pay a 10% booking fee on top of the service price, shown clearly before the booking is confirmed.
  • Providers set their own prices. JobTackl does not set, cap or negotiate what a provider charges.

When the provider gets paid

Provider payment is released after the job is confirmed complete, or automatically after 48 hours if no dispute has been raised.

  • Confirming the job complete can release payment earlier.
  • Raising an eligible dispute before release pauses automatic release while the matter is reviewed.
  • Stripe processing, settlement and bank arrival times mean a provider may receive the money in their bank after the release decision has been made.

Cancellations

Cancel more than 24 hours before the start time and the service price and booking fee are both refunded. Inside that window, half the service price is refunded and the booking fee is retained. If the provider cancels, you are refunded in full. Full detail is in the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Terms of Service, both currently working drafts pending final founder review.
