How it works
One marketplace, two sides
JobTackl is being built to connect people who need local help with independent providers. When booking opens, customers will describe the job and compare providers; providers will set out what they offer and be discoverable nearby.
For customers
From first search to finished job, in four straightforward steps.
The app source supports natural-language service matching, area and optional availability/distance filters, genuine rating and verified- evidence filters, and transparent recommended, rating, review-count or distance sorting. These features are not a live marketplace until the apps and production backend launch.

Money and payments
JobTackl is being built as a marketplace. Under the intended model, the contract for the work itself will be between the customer and provider—JobTackl will not be the party carrying out the service.
JobTackl does not currently take booking payments. Stripe is the intended processor; the exact Connect flow is awaiting confirmation.
What it costs
- Providers join and list free at launch, and pay 0% commission.
- Customers pay a 10% booking fee on top of the service price, shown clearly before the booking is confirmed.
- Providers set their own prices within the published booking range. JobTackl does not choose or negotiate what a provider charges.
When the provider gets paid
Proposed flow: provider-payment release would require customer completion confirmation or a documented JobTackl support decision. Customer silence would never release payment automatically. Stripe confirmation is pending.
- Proposed: customer completion confirmation may allow an earlier release, subject to Stripe and legal confirmation of the final flow.
- Raising an eligible dispute before release pauses automatic release while the matter is reviewed.
- Stripe processing, settlement and bank arrival times mean a provider may receive the money in their bank after the release decision has been made.
Cancellations
Cancel more than 24 hours before the start time and the service price and booking fee are both refunded. Inside that window, half the service price is refunded and the booking fee is retained. If the provider cancels, you are refunded in full. Full detail is in the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Terms of Service.
